I have been freaking out over the past few days because of the Fort Worth Zoo.

I had an interview for a position called Outreach Specialist. It’s a fulltime big girl job. Although they never said how much I’d be making, I am assuming it would be enough to live on.

I was told that I would receive an email by the end of that day (I thought) with details about the demo reel they want me to send it. That’s right people, the technician has to submit a video showing of my “performance skills and enthusiasm.”

However, I had the interview on Tuesday, and did not receive an email until today. I was beginning to doubt that I had heard her correctly and was freaking out. But I got the email and now everything is fine. 

Mostly I think it’s funny because her name is Kristen… and my name is Kristen… which makes me kinda do this when I email/talk to her:

So I will record my otter presentation.. sans otters.. which isn’t nearly as fun.

However, I always think dressing someone up to look ridiculous is enough entertainment value in and of itself. 

In addition, I may have done some research and found out that she basically has the same interests as me/sense of humor. We’re talking Firefly, Buffy, Labyrinth, yeah.. 

Imma just do this dance all the way through the tape. That’s legit right?

If my interp/presentation skills could just magically be as awesome as they were sayyyy idk maybe 8 months ago.. that would be super.

I hate rehearsing…

I only really want this job so I can get animal care experience and then get a job that’s just animal care and then NEVER HAVE TO PERFORM AGAIN.

I just want to play with the animals..
